RSC Architects has recently completed the state-of-the-art Culinary Arts Institute at Hudson County Community College (HCCC). This new facility accommodates the culinary arts program’s continued growth and provides unparalleled educational opportunities for students. The new Culinary Arts Institute has allowed HCCC to nearly double its program enrollment.
RSC created a carefully phased plan that would allow the existing facility to remain fully operational during construction, and provide a turnkey transition when students returned to classes this past September.
The design of the new five-story Culinary Arts Institute complements the surrounding historical architecture of Journal Square, and includes professional amenities that are every chef’s dream: multiple specialty kitchens with labs, an ice carving studio, a library of antique and rare cookbooks, and a 60-seat fine dining room. “Smart” classrooms offer the latest in wireless technology and design of cooking equipment.
Phase II of the project is now underway to create additional hands-on kitchen and classroom spaces, as well as a 300-seat banquet hall to host high-profile community and business events.
Thanks to successful projects like the Culinary Arts Institute, RSC has proudly earned the designation of on-call architect for Hudson County Community College.

Candidates must possess a degree in architecture and a minimum of 5 years related U.S. experience. Proficiency
in AutoCad, Excel, and Word and fluency in English (spoken and written) are required.
As a Project Architect you will prepare contract documents, including plans and specifications.
Design sensitivity, knowledge of code review and production skills are desirable.
